Keep Production Moving as a Material Handler
Location: Maple Grove, MN : Schedule: 2:30 pm - 11pm Payrate $22.00/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry leader in manufacturing and electromechanical design support to hire a detail-driven Material Handler. The Role & Your Impact
As a Material Handler, you are the critical link between the stockroom and the manufacturing floor. Your accuracy, urgency, and organization ensure that production teams receive the right materials at the right time—without disruption.
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, you will manage inventory transactions, support manufacturing schedules, and help maintain compliance with industry certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, Nadcap accreditation, and NASA standards.
Your work directly supports quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
Inventory Control & Stockroom Operations
Control physical and electronic inventory transactions within the stockroom.
Electronically receive and physically stock incoming materials, including purchased components and production subassemblies.
Ensure part count accuracy at all times.
Perform regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
Maintain accurate stockroom inventory records and transactional history.
Production Support
Create work order kits by pulling designated components in correct quantities to support the weekly production schedule.
Issue materials to manufacturing areas quickly and accurately.
Perform scrap transactions and reissue replacement components as needed.
Complete accurate production reporting on all work orders.
Service manufacturing teams to meet operational demands.
Systems & Documentation
Input all material movement transactions using the appropriate ERP software module.
Notify Planner, Supervisor, or Buyer immediately of discrepancies, shortages, or material concerns.
Follow all work instructions and documented processes to ensure compliance.
Support analytical reviews to determine root causes and corrective actions for inventory errors.
Cross-Functional Support
Cross-train and assist in shipping and receiving functions as workload demands.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all safety practices and promptly address potential hazards.
Assist in training and onboarding new employees as needed.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in inventory control and stockroom procedures
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, reaching, and climbing ladders
Ability to work with export-controlled materials in compliance with regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems and electronic inventory transactions
Working knowledge of electronic scales
Familiarity with ISO or regulated manufacturing environments
Strong analytical skills to help identify and correct inventory discrepancies

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
